endorsing on Linkedin?

Question by Erin: endorsing on Linkedin?
I sometimes do not understand why many senior level (10+ years of experience) would endorse on Linkedin for someone at junior position. Some of my former colleagues or bosses endorsed me first and other strangers started endorsing me. I never worked with them nor know them in any way. They are complete strangers with good professional profile. I accepted their request to be polite
but was thinking lLinkedin was turning into something like facebook. Does anyone feel the same way I do?

Apparently this is a problem with Linkedin that they still have never resolved.

Does LinkedIn really limit characters?

Question by shadow ... not prometheus!: Does LinkedIn really limit charachters?
Been about a year since I posted on LinkedIn. Don't do it much but I don't remember it limiting how much I could write. On my last post it said I had exceeded the limit (I forget, 200 or 20) so I had to cut it down. This piece of info: I was sharing an article from a journal and I was using a "share on LinkedIn" button on my toolbar to post.

Is it that button that limits or are all posts limited in charachters?

Best answer:

Answer by Peter Nikolow
LinkedIn limit is 600 chars. You must fit in order to publish status.

Question by Antonis Ashiotis: i cannot isolate incoming mail from LinkedIn?
Hi, I am using yahoo mail and i received huge volume of emails from LinkedIn. Due this, I assigned some filters via my yahoo settings in order to split all incoming mails from LinkedIn to a specific yahoo foldder.

The problem is that none of LinkedIn emails go to this folder.

Please help!

Best answer:

Answer by Bernadette
It sounds like the filters you've created may not be set up in a way that allows them to "catch" the messages you'd like to be moved. I suggest two Yahoo! Help articles:

Tips for setting up filters (first link below)

Additional tips for using filters (second link below)

I might make a filter that looks for "linkedin" in the sender name, as a broad filter. A narrower filter might also filter for a specific word in the subject or body, such as "jobs".

I hope this helps!

LinkedIn Question — People You May Know feature?

Question by Hello Friend: LinkedIn Question -- People You May Know feature?
A few days ago, 3 people from the same company appeared in the "People You May Know" section on my home page in LinkedIn. They all work in the same field that I work in, and I applied for a job with this company in that very department about 2 months ago.

My question is this: Since I have not viewed the profiles of these people, and we have zero shared connections, is it possible that these folks were viewing my profile and that's why they are showing up in my "People You May Know" box?

Best answer:

Answer by responder5
If you have a doubt that they might have checked on your profile then you can easily figure out whether they have actually visited you or not.

There is an option to view "people who has viewed my profile" or with something similar text. Click on that and you will see all the members who visited your profile.

Hope this helps

Cheers
