Question by Lonster: How do I make my wireless internet secure?
How do I make my wireless internet so that other computers from houses around me can't steal my signal? They are seriously slowing it down and it's so annoying! I have a Linksys N Ultra Range Plus router if that helps. Thanks!
I did it! Thank you so much!!!

Not only an insecure connection slow you down but you're runnin' the risk of exposing your personal info to other people.
Here's how to secure your wifi connection
It's different for every router.
Click Start/Run/ type cmd
A black DOS window should pop up. Type
Note the 'Default Gateway', it should be something like "192.168.1.1"
Type that exact thing into your web-browser (IE,firefox,...) and hit enter
Now, it will ask you to enter user name and password in order to enter your router configuration page. Since you haven't set anything up, the user name and password should be whatever the factory set up as default
Consult your router manual for the user name and password, it should be something like 'admin'
After you got the user name and password right. You're in
Now, look around and find the 'Wireless Security' section or some like that. The wording could be different but don't worry you'll get it
For the encryption type, remember to choose WPA or better yet WPA2. Do not choose WEP, it's weak and easily to break thru.
Set up the password.
Hit 'Apply' . Your router now will reset.
Now your wifi connection is secured. Good Luck
